Our 2nd Annual Oldsmobile, Buick and Pontiac show at the AACA Museum in Hershey was a huge success thanks to many people. We had 75 of the most beautiful and rare automobiles at the show coming from 6 states. Wow!
First we must recognize the staff of the museum, Mike Patterson is our contact each year and thanks for promoting the event on the website. David our liaison for the day along with the girls at the front desk made sure we needed nothing and I believe they are so great they could have changed the weather if we needed! We did not it was a perfect day to show on the grounds and then take time to enjoy all the museum has to offer. Tell everyone about it as we are very lucky to have such a place to preserve and display auto history for the future. Please support the AACA Museum!
Next to all of our show participants. Without you we could not have a show. From West Virginia to New York was represented at the show and some were cars we may have never seen. I hope you make this a regular stop on the summer show tour and I also hope we made your day an enjoyable one and as they say down south “ You-all come back ya here”! Thanks again for all the work and effort you put in your automobiles for everyone to enjoy, I know it is a labor of love.
Off to our food vendor “Fryers on Tires” The Kaufman Family has served us for two years and also when the Hurst Olds Nationals were at the Museum and why do they keep coming back? We ask them! They have home made food, great quality and great prices and are proud to come and serve us. We thank them and will have them back again next year!!
Now off to the real stars of the show. Our members of the Blue/Gray Chapter.
The members do so much in front and behind the scenes of a show to make sure all are happy to attend and everything goes off with out a hitch. Thanks to Ken and Bev for the registration. Brian and Jamie for goodie bag handouts. Bev and Sharon for the Chinese Auction sales. Rick and Brian for keeping all cars in class and lined up. Michael and Laura for always being there to help with everything. Denise and Jamie for the 50/50, Ron and Jean and Pat and Tammy for tear down too.
If I forgot someone just blast me in an e-mail.
Also a big thanks to all members who brought a basket for the raffle, it helps the chapter a great deal.
The winners are listed below but the big winner of the day goes out to Ron Seigrest, he is our most senior member at 88 years old and owns his original 1952 Oldsmobile convertible since the day it was new, a rare car with only 12 surviving in the world today. Congrats to Ron and Julie we love them!
They were given a very special Chapter award.
Winners are listed below and as President of the chapter I give my thanks to each of you for all your help
